On July 5, 2002 a handsome baby boy named Nicqualus DeJuan Murry was born to Sandra Holmes and Nicholas Murry in Stuttgart, Arkansas at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
Affectionately known as Quez, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in Jesus’ name at the Lively Stone Pentecostal Church, under the leadership of Pastor Alane Allen.
Quez attended Stuttgart Schools where he played football, basketball and ran track for the Stuttgart Ricebirds; he was a member of the Class of 2020. He was employed by UPS (United Parcel Service). Quez was always a respectful young man who addressed his elders as either “sir” or “ma’am”. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially eating dinner at his grandmother Shirley’s house; he was often seen eating several servings at a time of her famous peach cobbler. Quez’s little brothers and sister were the light of his world. He loved rapping, listening to music, and singing his favorite gospel song ‘Take Me to the King’ around the house.
On November 8, 2021, Quez entered into a land that knows no sunset or dawning. A land that knows no suffering, no pain, no sorrow or cares. Among the great cloud of witnesses to meet him there will be his maternal grandparents Alice Tysinger and L.A. Stigger, paternal grandfather Eddie Murry, Sr., one uncle Raymond Holmes, and three men who played a vital role in Quez’s upbringing whom knew as his grandfathers Bobby Foster, Cleo Tysinger, and Charles Williams.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his irreplaceable presence will be missed by those he leaves to cherish his memories: his parents Sandra (Calvin) Holmes and Nicholas (Tameko) Murry, Sr., both of Stuttgart, AR; grandmother Shirley Murry of Stuttgart, AR; great-grandmother Juanita (Altha) Bryant of Altheimer, AR; three brothers Lamarion Robinson and Nicholas Murry, Jr., both of Stuttgart, AR and Calvin Robinson, Jr. of Altheimer, AR; three sisters Nicquayla Murry and TaiToya McCullough, both of Stuttgart, AR, and Jasmine Robinson of Altheimer, AR; seven uncles Ernest (Shina) Holmes of Sherwood, AR, Bobby Foster, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR, Eddie (Shawnte) Murry, Jr., Brandon Murry, Twan Stigger, Cordaro Berry, all of Stuttgart, AR, and Derrick (Candace) Dunlap of Baltimore, MD; three aunts Kesha Murry of Stuttgart, AR, Tanya McCoy of Houston, TX and Elaine Foster of Pine Bluff, AR; a cousin who was like a sister Dericka (Kierre) Wyrick of Jacksonville, AR; a special cousin Jaliyah Burton of Stuttgart, AR; a special friend Essence Pinkney of Hazen, AR; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to also mourn his passing. Quez was loved by his family and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021, 5pm-6pm at Relerford Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, 2pm at Victors’ Empowerment Center, Stuttgart.
