Mrs. Mary Lee Robinson was born on August 25, 1932 to the late Reverend Willie Redic and Mrs. Nancy Carr, in Grand Lake, Arkansas. She departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Mother Robinson was reared by her great grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Redic, who encouraged her to love the Lord. In 1967, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and became a member of Benton Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder C. L. Benton, where she served faithfully. Later in years Elder Lawrence C. O’Neal became the Pastor, and God spoke to him to change the name of the church to Holy Benton Temple Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully on the Mother’s Board. She was a prayer warrior. Mother Robinson was loved by her church family, her friends and her community.
She attended Eudora School in Eudora, Arkansas. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Eugene Robinson, Sr. in 1954. To this union, ten children were born.
Mrs. Robinson retired from Riceland Foods in 1989. She was known to be a dedicated worker, and she enjoyed her job. She was a people person, who was loved by everyone she came in contact with and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her father Reverend Willie Redic, her mother Mrs. Nancy Carr, her great grandmother Mrs. Lottie Redic, two sisters Gloria Smith and Berlyne Davidson, three brothers Raymond Johnson, Freddie Johnson, and Robert Johnson, four sisters-in-law Verline Robinson, Mary Etta Robinson, Lollie Bell Robinson, and Annie Bell Robinson Jemerson, five brothers-in-law O.B. Jemerson, Eddie Robinson, James Robinson, Hollis Robinson, and Freddie Robinson, one grandson Cedric Qualls, one precious granddaughter Felicia (Lee) Curtis, and two special sons-in-law Burnis ‘B.J.’ Curtis, Jr. and Freddie ‘Cup’ Mullins.
Mrs. Robinson leaves to cherish her loving memories: five daughters Linda (Dennis) Qualls of Pine Bluff, AR, and Angie Mullins, Diana (Curlee) Kelley, Violet Curtis, and Elizabeth Robinson, all of Stuttgart, AR; six sons Eugene Robinson, Jr. (Everlean), Freddie Mack Robinson (Pamela), and Willie C.
