Demetric Lamond Ackles was born on November 9, 1983, to Pamela Davis and Troy Ackles in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Demetric attended Stuttgart public schools through elementary and part of high school.
At the age of 16, Demetric moved to Chicago, Illinois briefly before moving back to Stuttgart. Later, he’d move to Kansas City, Missouri for a brief time before returning to Stuttgart, Arkansas where he remained until God called him home.
Demetric was a friend to all; he rarely knew a stranger. He was very characteristic and expressed it through his art. Demetric loved to draw and was extremely skilled at it. He’d dreamed of turning his skill into a profession as a tattoo artist.
He would draw and sketch ideas all the time, and they were good! A few family members and friends volunteered their bodies for his practice. With permanent ink! That demonstrated how gifted he truly was. He simply loved art.
On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, Demetric was taken away from us suddenly at the age of 36. His wings were ready but our hearts were not.
Demetric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Porter and Ida Mae Gather, his paternal grandfather James Ackles Sr., grandfather Ervin Davis, two aunts Deborah Harges Alexander, Mae Dell Trice and a stepbrother, Charles Smith.
