Gary W. Dobson, 74, of Stuttgart passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Dobson was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Humphrey to Arthur “Bud” and Etta Hall Dobson. He was a salesman for many years and also worked for the City of Humphrey until his health declined. He was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, F.A., Pete and Jerry Dobson.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Lockhart Dobson; sons, Billy (Sherry) Dobson of Stuttgart and Michael Dobson of Florida; daughter, Jeannie (Kevin) Abstance of South Carolina; sister, Mary Sanders of Humphrey; five grandchildren, Cody Dobson, Draven Dobson, Blake Dobson, Kevin Abstance II and Skylynn Dobson; and five great-grandchildren, Lane, Isabella, Cayce, Grayson and Brentley.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Friday at Frazier Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home. Due the coronavirus pandemic, there will not be a visitation, but those wanting to pay their respects may do so Thursday afternoon and until noon Friday.
