Two queens will represent the 2019 Wings Over The Prairie Festival this weekend after winning the crown during the Queen Mallard and Jr. Queen Mallard competition.
On Saturday, November 23, Kory Lynn Jennings, 16 of Cabot, was crowned Queen Mallard in the Riceland Auditorium of the Grand Prairie Center.
Kory came out victorious as a first time Queen Mallard Contestant.
“I was a little nervous because I had never competed in a pageant like this before,” said Kory. “When I won I was overall surprised, shocked and overwhelmed with excitement.”

Kory is not new to pageants having competed twice in the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen. Kory explained how the Queen Mallard pageant differed from the rest.
“The interview was very casual, which was different,” said Kory. “Who wouldn’t want to wear camo and a crown at the same time.”
Kory is the daughter of Cory and Sherri Jennings and thanked them for their support. She also gave praises to God who she says guided her in the right direction.
“I just feel so special and I am so thankful for all the women who have come to Stuttgart and won these titles,” said Kory. “I just can’t believe that was in the cards for me and I’m so excited for the opportunity.
Jr. Queen Mallard, Hagan Grace Hord feelings were identical.
Hagan, 15 of Stuttgart, says she felt honored to be chosen as the 2019 Wings Over The Prairie Festival Jr. Queen Mallard.
“The feeling when they announced my name was overwhelming,” said Hagan. “I was so full of gratitude.”
Hagan is an SHS Cheerleader and was going on her third year as a Jr. Queen Mallard competitor before securing the crown this year. In her previous years, Hagan had never placed in the top 5.

Perseverance and determination paid off for Hagan.
“I practiced and prayed to God to help me through the competition,” said Hagan. “I was very nervous when I finally made it to the top 5.”
Hagan is the daughter of Katie and Eddy Hord.
She thanks her family, especially her mom for all of their support. She also gave thanks to the community of Stuttgart for the opportunity and hopes she can fill the shoes of the former Junior Queen Mallard.
“I wanted the opportunity to represent Stuttgart and be a leader in my community,” said Hagan. “I am so grateful, I get to be apart of such a great community, be a leader and a representative of the Wings Over The Prairie Festival.”
