Mennie Ruth Williams, 85, widow of Arthur Williams, Sr., passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Woodruff County Nursing Home.

Mennie was born April 10, 1934, to the late William and Pearl Loyd in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas. She was a member of Assembly of God Church, worked at Wal-Mart fabric department and loved going to flea markets. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. 

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arlice Loyd; sisters, Dorothy Benefield and Lucille Benefield; daughter, Shirley Cotton; and grandson, Joseph Cotton.

Survivors are son, Arthur (Donna) Williams, Jr. of Augusta; daughter, Pamela (Ray) Reynolds of Shelbyville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

  A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Williams Cemetery with visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
