
A statement released by Vice President of Public Affairs for Riceland Foods, Kevin McGilton, confirmed an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 at their Stuttgart facility.
Reports that employees were sent home today, McGilton said Riceland has been very proactive to keep their employees safe while they are at work.
“We have initiated our action plan to keep our employees safe. We are currently working on our contact tracing to determine how many employees may have come into close contact with the employee,” he said. “We will have the areas of our plant professionally cleaned and disinfected before employees return to work.”
According to McGilton, Riceland Food’s action plan is centered around keeping their employees safe.
He states their facilities have been closed to visitors for months and that all employee’s temperatures are taken before they enter the facility who are required to wear a mask.
