
McDonald’s hit with fake bills
September 23
Around 11:25 a.m. a black male wearing red shorts and a white tank top came into the lobby of McDonald’s and ordered some food. He gave the cashier a $20 bill. The cashier made the transaction and then gave the male his change.
The male came back to his line and ordered a large drink paying with a $50 bill. The cashier made the transaction and received his change.
The manager was going through the money and noticed that the $50 bill was fake and called the Stuttgart Police Department. SPD Ptl. Krysta Campbell was dispatched to McDonald’s.
The manager also found the counterfeit $20 bill that the suspect paid for during his first transaction. SPD CID Jeremiah Richard was called to McDonald’s to view the video surveillance and was able to identify the black male who made the transactions.
Slap and Run
September 27
At approximately 7:00 p.m. SPD Ptl. Austin Peek was dispatched to the 1200 block of E Lincoln for someone that had been assaulted. Upon arrival, he spoke with a 23-year-old black female who stated she was walking when a 37-year-old black male drove towards her.
The female stated she got out of the road because she thought the car was going to hit her.
According to the SPD Incident Report, the male jumped out a black Camary and slapped the female in the face and stated he had bond money for whatever happened next.
The female got the tag number from the car but it came back registered to a red Ford Ranger.
The victim had red marks on her face where she had been slapped. The female stated she had no idea why he slapped her.
Foster mom under investigation
September 30
According to the SPD Incident Report, an MMS student refused to leave school to go home.
According to the student, her foster mom choked and slapped her after she had been arguing with her sister and kicked something under the bed.
The Child Abuse Hotline and DHS were notified.
