Did anyone think when this pandemic began that six months later we would still be battling it? I recall everyone saying it would be over in a few weeks, if we all quarantined ourselves for a couple weeks. So much for that theory. I don’t understand how for so long, we in Arkansas County, had hardly any cases. It seems we went from four active cases to 20 something to almost 100 overnite. Honestly, I haven’t seen big changes in people’s behavior either. Nothing seems to make sense during this pandemic.
Remember in March when daycares and schools closed? There were not an extreme amount of active cases and they were growing by less than 100 a day. Now as we see cases grow between 500-700 per day, we are preparing to open schools back up. Does that make sense to you? I realize schools have got to open so children can be educated, I am just illustrating how so much doesn’t make sense. Kind of like how it’s bad to not social distance, unless you are protesting, rioting and looting, a member of Congress or going to the beaches. Our economy is in shambles, our unemployment numbers went from some of the lowest in a decade to the highest in at least 20 years. The government sent out stimulus checks and added $600 to weekly unemployment payments, making it where people did not want to return to work because they could make more on unemployment. Just getting the unemployment was a nightmare! By the time I finally started getting paid, I only had three more weeks of unemployment. Even finding a job is so difficult because so many businesses have had to close or do as many restaurants have, changing the way they do business. Some businesses may never recover.
No one seems to know if and when we will ever get back to normal. To make things even worse, hate has become a weapon to so many. It is sickening how many people are pushing the hate agenda, destroying property, trying to remove history from our nation. Only fools want to erase history or change the rhetoric about it. I can’t remember who said it, but someone once said, “Those who do not learn from the past are destined to repeat it.” I do not wish to repeat The Civil War, but it would seem we are headed for it. The agenda of some groups is becoming clear. To destroy our nation from within. The scariest part is how many of our so called leaders, seem to be egging it on, sitting comfortably in their million dollar houses, who care nothing for the American people, only about padding their own pockets while our nation goes up in flames.
If you believe what is happening is the result of one man who has only been in office for four years, then you need to get your head out of the sand. The problems we are facing have more to do with those who have been in office for decades. Wake up America and see this. I KNOW the founding fathers are rolling over in their graves right now. To the America bashers and anti-America rhetoric spouting people I say, “If you don’t like our country, leave. Since so many seem to be choosing a socialist, Marxist agenda, go live in Venezuela or Russia or China if you think it’s better.”
And by the way, if you fall in the category above, did you cash your stimulus check? If you did,then you need to return the funds to people who still love this country. Or maybe use it to buy a one way ticket to somewhere else. I, for one, won’t miss you.

I’m so over this COVID crap finally got out of the house drove past that house on the right going towards the hospital looks worse than ever !!! I don’t understand why he gets away with all that crap it gets worse and worse and the yard (grass) is growing and looking worse than ever please make him clean up that place looks like the house if falling down makes me nauseated every time I drive by !! Also I live on Strait place do you think you could enforce the no 4 wheelers , golf carts , tractors , lawn mowers just out riding the streets please this kids on that golf cart are going to get hurt one Davy !!!
